“In-situ humidity-XRD measurements of hygroscopic materials for water harvesting technology”
In this study, we investigate the correlation between relative humidity and the structure of metal-oxide-framework materials to better understand the fundamentals of the water capture mechanism of these hygroscopic materials using in-situ humidity-XRD measurement capabilities at MIT Nano.
Bio: Omer joined the Device Research Laboratory at MIT in April 2023 after earning his Ph.D. from TOBB ETU. His doctoral thesis focused on the synthesis and characterization of 2D materials (MXenes) on various substrates. At DRL, Omer is currently working on synthesizing materials for water harvesting applications and measuring thermal and liquid transport at the microscale.
