Zachariah Hennighausen
Postdoctoral Associate
Research Laboratory of Electronics (RLE)

Hennighausen and his colleagues have constructed a robotic material stacking machine that is able to stack nearly any nanomaterial into a complex configuration with surprising speed (e.g., 10-layer twisted graphene heterostructure in 2.5 minutes). Further, they are able to stack wafer-scale grown materials and are not limited to only exfoliated materials, thereby moving the technology closer to industry application. The team is aiming to use the stacking machine to rapidly fabricate prototypes of promising nanomaterial technology, and collaborate with other groups for characterization.

Attendees can join and participate in the series via Zoom.
